What is PLTW?
Project Lead The Way, or PLTW is a non-profit organization that offers STEM education programs to students throughout the United States from kindergarten to twelfth grade. Their programs provide new learning experiences that prepare students for future careers in these fields. The ultimate goal of PLTW is to inspire students and explore their careers early.
What is Engineering?
Engineering is the career of applying scientific and mathematical principles to design and create useful products and systems. This can include anything from designing a new piece of technology to creating infrastructures. Engineers use a combination of creativity, critical thinking, and technical skills to solve complex problems and come up with solutions. There are many different types of engineering, such as mechanical, electrical, civil, aerospace, and biomedical, and each one focuses on a specific area of expertise.
Why am I interested in Engineering?
I am interested in engineering because engineering has shown me the path of technology and many common interests. Engineering allows me to innovate items that I am not capable of buying/getting. Engineering shows me how many things work and how they are assembled.
