Breadboarding 1.2.4 for Principles of Engineering
Project Objective: The objective of this project was to grasp information regarding breadboards and their functionality. How they are used and their role in engineering. The project required us to design circuits in breadboards with resistors and use multimeters to learn about voltage and resistance. The main software that was used to design this project was Tinkercad and after designing, a build was required with the parts provided in class.
Design/Project Process: In this project, the first step was to design a basic circuit in Tinkercad and get it verified with our teacher. Once we had learned the concept of creation, we were tasked to create different types of circuits like parallel circuits and series circuits. While in the process of creating specific types of circuits with specific constraints, we were also tasked to create them in real life to fully understand the concept. Upon creation, we were tasked to create notes regarding this topic in our notebooks and learn about Ohm's law, the basis of calculations for circuits like these.
What I Learned: From this project, I learned about the creation, usage, and calculations of breadboard circuits. I learned how these circuits are used in the technology we use on a daily basis. Specifically, I learned about tools like multimeters, diodes, resistors, etc.
Personal Reflection: In my opinion, this project helped me fully understand the concept of circuits and their usage in our society todayy. With the usage of circuits we were able to develop technology like laptops, smartphones. tvs, etc.
